WHO WE ARE

With the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine, in the winter of 2022, volunteers and caring residents of the Moseley area united to provide operational assistance to Ukraine; and with the launch of the state program Homes for Ukraine it was decided to organise a volunteer project - Moseley for Ukraine.
A lot of work was done during this period within the project. At first, volunteers helped raise funds, clothes, food, basic necessities and promptly sent it to the hottest spots in Ukraine. With the launch of the Homes for Ukraine program, we began to connect British hosts with Ukrainians who decided to leave for the UK. Subsequently, Moseley began to accept the first Ukrainians and help them adapt to life in England.
Today, most Ukrainians in Birmingham know our organisation and turn to us for help of a different nature. Weare proud that the Moseley area has received the largest number of Ukrainians in Birmingham. Today, Moseley for Ukraine is being developed by two Ukrainian women who also came to Britain as part of the British government's Homes for Ukraine program. The main objective of the project is to provide information support to Ukrainians in Birmingham. So, Moseley for Ukraine holds weekly drop-in sessions with Ukrainians, which are attended by representatives of various supporting organisations. Every week Ukrainians have the opportunity to communicate with compatriots, get information support and have a good time. We are developing our website and pages in social networks so that Ukrainians have prompt access to important information.
In addition, Moseley for Ukraine focuses on physical and mental health, well-being, employment, housing, business support and language learning. We organise and conduct various events aimed at adapting and integrating Ukrainians into British society.

If you are coming or planning to come from Ukraine to Birmingham, we are always happy to help you take your first steps here and adapt to life in Britain. We are proud that in such difficult times for Ukrainians we can lend a helping hand.
